Planet with satellite
A satellite is a moon that forms around a planet in a rare combination of circumstances. It requires that the planet be attacked in a manner that causes lots of debris to be left behind. The chances of a satellite being generated are given in each battle report and are roughly 1% per 100,000 debris with a maximum limit of 20%[1], although this percentage can be increased (even past the limit) with bought items called celestial triggers. Moons are often generated by having another player attack the planet where the moon is desired. The only defenses on the planet are approximately 2000 light fighters. This usually enough to produce debris at a level to generate the moon at a 20% chance.
Celestial Triggers can be purchased with Dark Matter. They come in 20% or 80% levels. Using a 20% trigger will give a 40% chance at generating a moon and an 80% trigger gives a 100% chance. You can not use more than one celestial trigger at a time. You can not use two or three 20% triggers to gain a greater than 40% chance at generating a moon.
A satellite provides additional construction capabilities in the form of two new building types:
- The Quartz Rutilated Refinery allows for the construction quartz rutilated
- The Space Jumpgate allows for instantaneous transport over large distances
